STEEL TECH 2025: THE EVENT WHERE STEEL, TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION COME TOGETHER

Bilbao Exhibition Centre will once again be the meeting point for the steel industry when it hosts STEEL TECH, Congress & Expo, from 21 to 23 October 2025. Organised by Siderex and BEC, the event has established itself as a benchmark in innovation and development within the steel sector. For three days, it will bring together leaders, prestigious specialists and key players in the value chain, offering a unique environment to exchange knowledge, network and generate business opportunities.

STEEL TECH 2025, Congress & Expo will feature a high-level congress, where Spanish and international speakers, experts in the sector, will represent the entire steel value chain. These professionals will delve into the main challenges and trends in the steel industry, offering a comprehensive perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing the industry, as well as the innovative solutions that will mark its future. In this edition, the first day of the programme will focus on two main blocks covering the transformation of the European steel industry, carbon neutrality for climate-free energy sources and global raw material strategies for a transforming steel industry. The second day has an open call for papers focused on artificial intelligence, and will incorporate a startup challenge, in which innovative solutions for the industry around the capture and valorisation of CO2 will be presented.

Besides the congress, the event will feature an exhibition space where the main steelworks, engineering companies, suppliers and providers will present their latest technological advances, products and innovative solutions. So far, companies such as ABB, CEIT, DEGUISA, ETORKI, GEMINIS LATHES, GOSAN, GH CRANES & COMPONENTS, HALOTECH, HARRI GREEN RECYCLING, HERAEUS ELECTRO-NITE, SMARKTEC, KALFRISA, LAYDE, SIDERWRAP, POLYTEC, JASO INDUSTRIAL and TUBOS REUNDOS have already confirmed their participation in the fair.

Moreover, B2B meetings will be organised to generate strategic synergies between companies, sponsors and invited international buyers. The event will also offer complementary activities such as technical visits to industrial plants, innovation workshops, a technical poster zone and the Steel Tech Awards ceremony, recognising excellence and innovation within the sector. After-work events will also be organised to strengthen the connection between attendees and encourage dialogue on the future of the industry.
